- Forgeries exist as perforated and imperforate versions which were created after the original printing company was dissolved in 1990. The most simple test is to check for the watermarking. No watermark....its a forgery.
Noted in the Stamp Number catalog and Stanley Gibbons. They were planned and prepared but rejected at the last minute due to Michael Jackson still being a living celebrity at the time. A quantity were distributed to BVI and several commercially used covers exist before the recall occurred. Most of the printing was destroyed but more were distributed in the liquidation sales of the printers archive along with a number of varieties. The Michael Jackson stamps issued by St. Vincent used the same images as this item on their $2 values.
