说明:: The stamps shows two children with their typical body painting in the indigenous community of Paujil.
They belong to the Wãnsüjüt, or Puinave people. They occupy a transitional zone between the Amazon jungle and the plainlands of the colombian Orinoquia region, subsisting of itinerant horticulture by using the cutting and burning technique, fishing, hunting and gathering. They traditionally know a stellar calendar that marks the seasons and reproductive cycles of the animals and guides the livelihood activities.
Most specialists consider the Puinave language to be an isolated language, although other linguists have proposed that it would be related to Makú languages.
