Hello Collectors!
I am collecting banknotes, so I'll be speaking from that perspective and my point of view may be narrow, but I don't think my suggestion, if implemented, would have any negative effect on anyone.
So... When going into a list of items (showing all items from a country/series/all variants to some extent), we're presented with all fields populated for that item (like Series, Size, Composition, Face value etc.):
And all of those fields will be displayed for every item, unless filtered by:
(see the Composition and Distribution fields missing from the items once filtered by)
Information stored in all those fields is of course important, but often I wish I could just hide some of the fields to keep the list shorter by not having displayed things that are not relevant for me at a time. For example I hardly need to know if the banknote was printed on paper (for some unfamiliar, they are lately often printed on polymer), who printed the banknote, what size this is or what is the face value.
This is especially a problem, when on mobile (like at a fair).
It could be added as an additional button, which would open a window with all fields available - checked by default to display, unchecked if not. Additionally, list of hidden fields could be displayed to the users, so that they won't forget what is hidden.
And of course if people find all fields useful at all times - they could have them checked all the time, no harm done. Others could hide some fields and have simpler, neater lists.
I honestly hope this is not a feature I simply did not discovered yet, or something that I missed due to lack of Premium. I know about thumbnail view, but it doesn't cut it for me. Also, apologies if this was already suggested/discussed - I did not find any matches while searching for such threads.
Thank you all, happy collecting!
Cheers,
Marcin
