Good evening,

I am Luciano De Castris from Italy, for the first time in many years a dispute has been opened against me by a collector from Algeria who says he did not receive the registered letter with the stamps and is asking for a refund. I have the images from the Italian post office with the tracking that proves that the registered letter arrived in Algeria, and if it disappeared it happened in Algeria. I refused the refund and wanted to know what to do.

Hello,

The buyer yacinest opened a dispute on this matter. According to the tracking system the package didn't reach the destination and wasn't received by the recipient. Your package remains your property until received by the recipient, thus you can file a tracing request at your post office. If the package got lost you may request compensation from your post. In case of package loss you should either send (via registered mail) the same items to the buyer once again or issue a refund.

The buyer says in a message that the bag with the Italian registered letters arrived in Algeria, but the registered letter was not in the bag. They must make the complaint in Algeria. I do not understand why you always agree with the buyers, I believe that all my feedback demonstrates my honesty. It does not seem right to me to be suspended without having any fault.

I send proof of arrival, the buyer does not send any proof of Algerian post, why is he right and not me?

The tracking system on the post website doesn't show that the package has reached the recipient. The picture you sent me via PM doesn't show too that the package arrived at its destination and moreover received by the recipient. This picture isn't a proof either as it's not an official answer from the post. Based on this info the package can't be considered as received, thus the delivery of sold items isn't completed by you. You are not obliged to file a tracing request at your post office if you don't want to do it. In this case however you must send a new package or issue a refund without any further delays. Please, proceed with solving the issue within the next 3 days.

When shipments are properly arranged on the post, sellers have the possibility to request a refund from the post in case a package got lost.

He hasn't visit Colnect for several days, so you need to wait for his response. For which purpose you just sent a report on this buyer? Please, refrain from the 'report collector' feature misuse.

in the report I wrote what I think, I am very angry because I am an honest person and i sent the letter that was stolen in algeria. You can't always take the side of the buyer. read my feedback , only positive, to understand my correctness.

The 'report collector' feature isn't meant to express an opinion about something and so on, please, never use it for this. It's only used to notify Colnect's administration about a member's suspicious behaviour, various violations, etc., which is not the case here.

Unfortunately you are not the first person who got their package lost when delivering by the post. You just need to act accordingly as explained above. It's not about taking anyone's side, this is simply how swapping/trading via post works.

I sent the refund for the transaction even though I do not agree.

When a transaction is created an agreement between seller and buyer is concluded. A buyer's responsibility is to pay on a transaction in a timely manner and a seller's responsibility is to deliver sold items to the buyer. If the registered mail was used and items weren't delivered a refund is to be issued. As mentioned above the package remains a sender's property until received by a recipient and if the registered package got lost a seller may get a compensation from the post. By the way, you gave a negative rating to the buyer without a reason (it's not the buyer's fault that your package got lost), so that it's now removed. Mind that giving baseless and revenge non-positive ratings may cause account deactivation.

Since I made the refund according to your requests, I believe that the negative evaluation that the buyer gave me should also be removed
