Welcome to my humble abode. My name is Chris and I come from the small island of Malta, which I trust is known well enough in philatelic circles not to need introduction. But, just in case, you can paste this into Google Maps for an exact location identification: 36.015339, 14.465029.
My collecting interest is Worldwide A to Z, without regard to geography, era or political constraint. The few criteria I hold on to are:
- I strictly seek MNH complete sets, although you may find some broken sets in my swap list. These are usually from mixture lots I would have obtained over time.
- Stamps issued as singles are admissible as such.
- I keep only one copy of each stamp/set and if I have additional copies, I will want to swap for an equivalent I am missing.
- Stamps found in souvenir sheets (so long as they are the same stamp, with the same perforations, etc.) are collected within the souvenir sheet itself.
I am very keen to swap worldwide. I would appreciate the following "rules" to be respected:
- I prefer to exchange by catalogue value, or 1:1 if agreed to (this depends on the specific exchange taking place).
- I usually use Scott or StampWorld to assign value, as well as current market rates in some instances.
- I do not split up complete sets when exchanging stamps, but can consider this in special circumstances.
- Each item in my swap list is clearly marked for condition. Any item not marked is a mistake, and I will be happy to confirm for you what condition it is in.
- We should agree on who sends first and using which method, but my preference would be simultaneous with exchange of tracking numbers (of course well-rated users can have better expectations).
