I am a type collector of world coins, specifically circulating coins. I have been building my collection for over 25 years. It started when I tried to interest our children in a planned trip to New Zealand. They did not stick with it, but it started me on a long term interest in coins. I am particularly interested in coins of countries I've visited, but I look for coins from all nations. I have a very wide range of both USA and world coins I can swap. Coins with a grade and dollar catalog value next to them on my Swap List are for value-for-value swaps rather than one-for-one swaps. I swap silver for silver. I use the Krause guides and the NGC website for determining value. The values found on my Swap List are based on the value at the time the coin was posted to the list. Due to fluctuations in the price of silver, or other changes in Krause values over time, coins may be reassessed for value at the time of a swap. Because of the cost of International Registered mail I look for either trades of 50 or more coins or at least $100 in the catalog value of the coins in the swap.
