Of the 5100 Colombian combatants who took part in the asian conflict, 111 officers and 590 non-commissioned officials participated in war operations and the remainder in the surveillance of the armistice, receiving for the effect the same intensive training of the previous. The final balance of the war for the Colombian battalion was 639 casualties distributed between 163 deaths in action, 448 wounded, 28 prisoners who were redeemed and 47 MIA. The frigates ARC Admiral Padilla, ARC Captain Tono and ARC Admiral Brión of the National Navy had presence throughout the Korean War where they participated in several military actions.
