The river is a major tourist attraction as it flows into the Okavango Delta, which was named the 1000th UNESCO World Heritage site in the World. The waters of the Chobe swell and increase dramatically around November, when the rains of the Angola have fallen, and flow into the Zambezi River which feeds the Chobe.
