- Although this issue was authorized by the Ivory Coast postal administration, virtually the whole issue was not sold in the Ivory Coast, but only distributed by the philatelic agency Marino-Montero International during this year for distribution onto the philatelic market.
This EUROPA series was produced by or for Marino Montero International philatelic agency who is the same agency that made the fully denounced and/or delisted São Tomé and Príncipe, Chad, Benin and Afghanistan 2006 EUROPA series dating 2005.
The key to defining who produced this series due to the printer not recognized anywhere including on the UPU WNS Stamp System is the logo of a star with a "50" in it. This logo is a so-called "patented" logo that was designed by George Katz with permissions to use it given to Mr. Montero. An example of this "contract" is shown on the second image of the mini sheet. It is an agreement for the São Tomé and Príncipe fully denounced as illegal EUROPA 50th Anniversary series. This logo is ONLY used on these EUROPA series produced by or for Mr. Montero and not found on other 2005-2006 EUROPA series.
Although produced by a notorious illegal stamp producer, it is one of the few series that are held as legitimate. See the illegal stamp categories for the above countries to compare the logo.
