A week before the first national elections, after the military coup that overthrew President Rómulo Gallegos in 1948, the Military Junta organizes and inaugurates on November 22, in the Simón Bolívar Center, "The National Objective Exhibition. 1948-1952".
This exhibition sought to highlight the achievements of that Military Junta between 1948 and 1952 and promote Marcos Pérez Jiménez as the ideal candidate to govern the country. The exhibition described national culture, geographical, climatic benefits and natural resources. It also included topics such as literacy, immigration, construction, education and sport, without omitting, of course, the military, all presented through murals, 250 models, photographs, equipment and vehicles.
