- The bill of exchange tax was a traffic tax levied on drawn and own bills of exchange that were in circulation in Germany. It was DM 0.15 for every DM 100 or part thereof. The tax was paid by sticking exchange tax stamps on the back of the bill. Exchange tax stamps were available from post offices. The federal government was entitled to the exchange tax.
It has been levied in the form of a stamp duty since the 17th century. The tax was reformed in 1923. After the war was no longer levied by the war-related tax simplification ordinance from September 14, 1944, it revived on the key date of the currency reform on June 20, 1948. In accordance with the Financial Market Promotion Act of February 22, 1990, the bill tax was abolished on January 1, 1992. - 现在购买:
