The Sabana railway station of Bogotá was inaugurated on July 20, 1917, during the government of José Vicente Concha. The property was declared a national monument in 1984, due to its historical and cultural importance. It served as station until the liquidation of the national Railroads of Colombia in 1991. It is currently the headquarters of the Superintendency of ports and transport.
