说明:: The Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is also known as ZATCA and GAZT SA.
"Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" is given in microprint. "GAZT SA" is given in both readable and luminescent print.
Excise stamps are affixed to cigarette packs to indicate legal sale and tax compliance. The value of the stamp is set by national law.
The stamp is designed to break upon opening of the cigarette pack.
It was designed and printed by De La Rue in collaboration with ZATCA, and introduced in 2022 as part of the Kingdom's DLC Certify(TM) digital tracking system for Duty Free Outbound cigarette packs. (As of 2025, this design remains in use.)
The design has two unequal, plain paper (unprinted) wings.
Luminescent features: "GAZT SA" glows bright yellow under UV as do embedded multi-colored paper fibers, some of which are also visible under natural light. The Rub El Hizb (八角星) in the center of the stamp glows with a bright yellow Latin capital letter. To right, there is 'taggant' that glows bluish-white under UV.
