2017 marks the centenary of an event that is directly related to one of the greatest religious traditions in Luxembourg: In the Portuguese village of Fatima “Our Lady of Fatima” appeared to three children. Each year in Luxembourg, almost 20,000 pilgrims, most of them from the Portuguese community, make their way to Wiltz in the north of the country. Here, in 1951 a monument was erected in honour of “Our Lady of Fatima”.
