Giulia Guarino Fiechter (born 17 July 1897; died 31 July 1985) was an Italian/Uruguayan architect. She was the first Latin American woman to graduate with a degree in architecture in 1923.
Paulina Luisi (1875–1950), was a leader of the feminist movement in the country of Uruguay. In 1909, she became the first Uruguayan woman to earn a medical degree in Uruguay. She was highly respected.
