Bogus certificates of authenticity created by the International Collectors Society claiming these to be a limited edition are deceptive as many more were and are still being sold without certificates.
Although this issue was authorized by the Maldives postal administration, virtually the whole issue was not sold in Maldives, but only distributed by the Maldives philatelic agency IGPC for distribution onto the philatelic market.
