说明:: German card producers during the WW1 often printed propaganda postcards illustrating past German victories against the present enemies. This postcard uses such a theme from German-French war of 1870/1. The scene painted by a well known German painter named Fritz Neumann shows emperor Wilhelm I in battle near Gravelotte on 18th August 1870. The producer of the postcard can not be read under the ink: I can read: "Kunstverlag ..... Max ..... ,München" This could be Max Hirmer, Münich. The postcard was posted from Pera post office in Istanbul in Ottoman Turkey to Bucharest in Romania. It also has a censor mark by the Turkish censor committee.
