"H.S.M.", the company that produced these cards was either Hugo Semmler of Magdeburg or Hermann Sonntag of Munich. The cards contain a national flag, handcoloured and embossed coins (latest 1904) and a conversion table for exchanging these currencies. The cards were issued in sets of 50 and printed in German, French and English. The French language cards were sold also in Ottoman Empire (hence this card). 6 other companies were given licence (or copied) and produced similar cards later with their own company logos.
