The history of fire and rescue sports in Belarus begins in 1937, when the 1st All-Belarusian sports competitions of fire protection were held. The program of the first competitions included applied elements used in extinguishing fires.

During this time, a significant path has been passed: it was possible to achieve international recognition of fire and rescue sports as a sport of the highest achievements, to demonstrate at the international level its importance for the professional training of firefighters and rescuers.

Modern fire and rescue sports include four types of exercises: “Climbing the assault ladder to the 4th floor of the training tower”, “Overcoming a 100-meter obstacle course”, “4x100 meters fire relay”, “Combat deployment from a motor pump”.
