- Daniele Maffei, aka Daniele Gas, from Northern Italy, continues his amazing streak of successes with four original jams for NoTalking Records. Influenced by '90s sounds, Afro/downbeat, samples, and hypnotic vocals, they sweep you wide-eyed through Balearic nights and carry you late into the night with profound and seductive lyrics.
"Acqua" opens the album with a slow, tribal, and sunny groove, a downtempo bliss, with captivating romantic lyrics that draw you into a magical, unique atmosphere that touches your heart.
Then follows "Rifare L'Italia," an old track released digitally in 2019 on the Ivreatronic label, remixed for the occasion, with a full-throttle bassline and hints of hopeful vocals. A groove that oscillates between ambient slowbeat and relaxed electronica.
On the B-side, we find "Lo Spogliarellista," the unreleased track, the highlight of his new EP, which turns the tables with even greater consistency. The Moog synths are crystal clear, and the sinuous, slightly funky bass line unfolds unsteadily, while his murky male voice reads a text by David Thomson, adding a touch of sensuality.
Finally, (as a bonus track) "Tulum" by 2 Mocking Guys, a group founded in 2023 by Daniele and his dear childhood friend Max Cugnod (guitarist). '90s synthesizers and drum machines immerse you in positive chill-out vibes. - 现在购买:
