- While the music is totally improvised, unaccompanied vibraphone performances by a jazz musician (one selection is for solo piano), the ambience is not jazz-like in the usual sense. I had become enamored with making solitary, nocturnal recordings of improvised music - soundscapes that freely explored other realms of experience not heard in conventional jazz. The selection entitled "Vibra-Sleep Currents", which is 16:09 in length and comprises Side A, is perhaps the album's most successful realization of instantaneous composition.
