It shall also bear the Rupee symbol "L " and denominational value "5" in the International Numerals below the Lion Capitol.
背面: The face of coin shall bear the portrait of "Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya" in the centre. The inscription "ifMr nhun;ky mik/kk; dh tUe'krh" in Devanagari script and "BIRTH CENTENARY OF PANDIT DEENDAYAL UPADHYAYA" in English shall be written on the top and bottom periphery respectively on this face of the coin.The year's figure "1916-2016" shall be written below the portrait of "Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya".
