正面: At center, small effigy of the King Willem-Alexander. Ruler ↻ around, in first circle, name WILLEM-ALEXANDER and in second circle, titles KONING DER NEDERLANDEN (Willem-Alexander King of the Netherlands). Date ⤸ at right 2024, divides mintmarks, the Mercury staff ☤ (Utrecht) and privy mark, "Raven" (r -Bert van Ravenswaaij).
背面: One half of the coin has the image of an old pliers from 1350 with the Amsterdam Coat of Arms on it. This is rumored to be the very first time that the city Coat of Arms was being used. This half of the coin also has a more matte finish. The other half of the coin has a more shiny finish and contains modern typography, dates of event at right 1275 - 2025, theme ⤾ at bottom in two lines AMSTERDAM 𝄓 750 JAAR (Amsterdam 750 years), face value at top right €5 (5 euro) . Both parts come together by using the three crosses from the Amsterdam Coat of Arms in the middle.
