正面: presents the profile of a woman who symbolizes freedom, who with her indigenous features and her feathered headdress, a text that frames the figure "LIBERTAD AMERICANA" (American Liberty), along with the original year of mintage, “• 1819 •”.
背面: the image of the pomegranate (Punica granatum) that was used in the seal of the Republican coin and that recalls the name of the country (Nueva Granada) and a latent image that, depending on the angle from which it is viewed, reflects the initials "BR", or the Arabic number "10", the year of issue "2019".
