The arrival of the Borbons to the Spanish throne brought about a profound transformation and modernization of the Empire. In 1732, during the second reign of Philip V, minting underwent a significant change with the introduction of the flying press in Mexico, which permitted the production of round coins with a protective cord. That is how Coins of Worlds and Seas came into being whose fine ore and beauty made the Mexican coin the main medium of international payment. - 现在购买:

In 1950, the former President, Miguel Alemán, inaugurated the Southeast Railway, the most important infrastructure work that integrated the Yucatán peninsula to the rest of the country. This magnificent work began under Lázaro Cárdenas administration and was continued by Manuel Ávila Camacho. The pinnacle of such an important project for the nation has been engraved for posterity in one of the most beautiful coins of Mexico’s XX century: El Ferrocarril del Sureste (“The Southeast Railway”). - 现在购买:

As of 1772, during the reign of Charles Carlos III, busted coins appeared in Mexico with a portrait of the monarch on their reverse sides after the fashion of European absolutism. In order to produce these coins, on March 18th, 1771, mint workers were secretly ordered to reduce the silver ore from eleven pieces (916.66 thousandths) to ten pieces twenty grains (902.77 thousandths), and at the same time the minting of coins of worlds and seas was suspended. - 现在购买:

As of 1536, the first coins to be minted in the Mexican Mint were known as “Carlos y Juana” (Charles and Joanna), because they included the inscription CAROLVS ET IOHANA REGES HISPANIARVM ET INDIARVM (Charles and Joanna, King and Queen of Spain and the Indies). This type of coins was cast during the reign of Joanna I of Castile and Charles I of Spain (V of Germany) and Phillip II. The first pieces were assayed by Francisco del Rincón, whose initial R appears between the Pillars of Hercules, next to the emblem PLVS VLTRA (beyond). The denomination in this piece is expressed in dots. - 现在购买:

After the independence was gained, Mexico adopted constitutional monarchy as its form of government. Agustín de Iturbide became the first Mexican emperor and rapidly ordered the minting of its own coin. On the front of these pieces there is the monarch’s naked bust-head figure, surrounded by the inscription AUGUSTINUS DEI PROVIDENTIA (Agustín by God’s Providence); Mexico´s mint mark and the mint year. Eight- and four-escudo coins were minted in gold, and eight-, four-, two- and one-real coins in silver. - 现在购买:
