100 years: Anne Cath. Vestly was born on February 15, 1920 on Rena. To mark the 100th anniversary of this event, Norges Bank issued a 20-kroner circulation coin with a special character on 15 June 2020.

The motif on the 20 kroner with a distinctive character has the motif "Listen", designed by illustrator and newspaper cartoonist Siri Dokken. The motif shows Anne Cath. Vestly who listens to a child and is inspired by what she hears. In the background you can see a city line, a reference to the slums. The artist's signature (SD) is located at the bottom left of the coin surface.

New this year is that Norges Bank has replaced the Norwegian Mint's brand crossed hammer and rock iron with the initials of Norges Bank. Norges Bank will be the responsible issuer. It is perhaps the first time in Norway's history that the marked hammer and rock iron is not on a coin minted on Kongsberg.
