According to the legend, Gediminas, the Grand Duke of Lithuania, following a hunting trip, dreamt of an iron wolf, whose loud cry moved the waters of the Neris River. A sage named Lizdeika explained to Gediminas that a city would be built here, and its name would be heard all around the world; designer at right Vɴ (Vytautas Narutis).
