The golden coin of 100 euros of 2018 inaugurates a four-year cycle dedicated to the apostolic Constitutions of the Second Vatican Council. "Magna Carta" of the liturgical renewal of the Church begins with Sacrosanctum Concilium. The Liturgy is the "source" from which all the energy of the Church comes. The small source of the coin represents therefore the Liturgy that, renewed, springs up and runs between the rocks and under the legs of the "Agnus Dei" (Lamb of God), which represents Christ and the Church. The Liturgy, source of energy and nutrition, feeds the great green tree full of fruits, symbol of the "new time" of the Catholic Church.
