To mark the 25th Anniversary of our present Constitution, ratified by popular ballot on December 6th 1978, the Spanish Royal Mint continued to mint the traditional 2,000 peseta non-circulating silver coin, but now face-valued 12.

The 12 Euros coin minted in silver to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Spanish Constitution portrays on the obverse the overlapping profiles of the King and Queen of Spain. The reverse bears the Constitutional coat-of-arms.
