I am an Australian collecting world stamps. I am happy to collect used stamps . With email taking over from letters, stamp collecting appears to have become less popular and I believe the best attitude is to collect for your own joy.

For me trying to sort out varieties with their different watermarks, UV effects, perforations and minor differences is part of the fun.

Hopefully with Colnect I can help others with their collections and improve my own. It can be a small joy to the day to get a set of stamps in the mail.

Please feel free to approach me if you think I can help. I have put my complete collection, swap and part of a wish list on line. It can be a big effort to put all online but my advice would be to do this as it opens up real possibilities
