Themes/Owls
From Collectors Collecting Wiki
Owls are nocturnal birds of prey belonging to the order Strigiformes, recognized for their large forward-facing eyes, facial discs, and silent flight. They inhabit every continent except Antarctica and are often associated with symbolism in various cultures, representing wisdom, mystery, and protection.
These birds vary greatly in size, from the tiny elf owl to the large Eurasian eagle-owl, and are found in diverse habitats such as forests, grasslands, deserts, and tundra. Their specialized feathers enable near-silent hunting, while their exceptional vision and hearing make them skilled predators of small mammals, insects, and other birds.
Owls also appear in mythology, art, and folklore across the world, often reflecting the human fascination with their nocturnal lifestyle and striking features.
